Mindfulness
&
Meditation
The principal foundation of the Meraki Way; learning the arts of Mindfulness & Meditation invites us to consciously observe our thoughts and emotions, choosing which ones we are able to let go of and nurturing those that help us to grow.
As we become more confident in our Mindfulness and Meditation practices we bravely begin the journey within; the life-changing journey of compassionate introspection.
It is through this journey that the Meraki Way teaches clients to develop their awareness of themselves and others. It is through developing true, conscious awareness that our understanding of how we are all interconnected beings is nurtured.
Emotional Intelligence & Freedom
Through acquiring the key elements of Emotional Intelligence (EI) we are better able to pay attention. Those who are taught to develop this essential life skill set are more likely to lead happy and more fulfilled lives; they develop positive relationships, as well as a strong sense of empathy.
The key focus elements of EI in the Meraki Way are: Empathy, Social Skills, Self Awareness, Self Regulation, Motivation
What really matters for success, character, happiness and lifelong achievements is a definite set of emotional skills-your EQ-not just purely cognitive abilities that are measured by conventional IQ tests- Daniel Goleman
Tenacity & Resilience
We are all born with the innate capacity to love and heal ourselves, and others.
It is through learning to cultivate a deep sense of self-compassion and love that we are able to present ourselves in a more positive light to the world.
The Meraki Way guides clients back to this power within. By nurturing and cultivating their inner power clients adopt a strong sense of self, leading to their own authentic feeling of resilience during times of challenge in their lives.
BREATH
&
Awareness
As human beings, we are born with four inherent qualities – self-awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These provide us with the ultimate freedom; the power to choose, to respond and to change.
Through the Meraki Way, clients are guided towards a greater awareness of themselves and of others.
Through combining integrated Breath-work along with other elements of the Meraki Way, participants feel a deep sense of empowerment, choice and freedom which subsequently opens up an entire new world of opportunities, adventurers and an overall more fulfilling outlook towards life.
Kindness & Compassion
‘Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.’
Dalai Lama
The warm, positive feelings that are experienced as a direct result of kindness are produced by our body’s physiological response, as endorphin release is triggered.
Endorphins activate areas of the brain that are associated with pleasure, social connection, and trust. These feelings of joyfulness have been proven to be contagious, encouraging more kind behaviour, or altruism. Scientific evidence has shown that kindness increases happiness, enhances self-esteem, decreases incidences of bullying, improves our mental health as well as helps to reduce depression.
The Meraki Way lovingly guides clients to understand, love and accept themselves. By incorporating elements of Positive Psychology and our unique Holistic Therapy, they are lead towards kindness and deeper self-compassion.
Intuitive & Mindful Movement
Through The Meraki Way, clients are invited to express their true selves, gently release any physiologically stored stress as well as regulate and respond to their own emotions.
The three R’s form the foundations of each Mindful and Intuitive Movement session:
Relax- Participants are guided to a deep state of inner relaxation; it is in this state of mind that learning and growth takes place more effectively.
Reset-Participants learn to mindfully tune into their feelings and emotions, allowing them to simply ‘be’. The Meraki Way empowers us to take control of our responses by navigating back to the anchor of inner calm.
Reconnect-Through cultivating a strong mind-breath-body connection we feel better equipped to overcome difficult or overwhelming emotions, whilst remaining connected to their true, authentic selves.
